Behind every family we serve is a dedicated team of people who believe deeply in this mission — and in the children and families who inspired it.
"We run this ministry not out of obligation, but out of love — for Liam, for every rare child, and for the families who refuse to stop fighting."— Run With Liam Team
Our team brings together parents, advocates, and community leaders united by a single calling: to walk alongside rare families and remind them they are never alone.
Michelle is Liam's mom and the heart behind everything Run With Liam does. After receiving Liam's rare diagnosis, she channeled her grief and determination into building a community she wished had existed from day one. Michelle leads the ministry with unwavering faith and fierce love. She has spent the last several years connecting rare families across the country and developing support programs.
"No family should have to figure this out alone. That's why we run."
Chris is Liam's dad and the steady backbone of the ministry's day-to-day operations. A former logistics manager, he brings structure, resourcefulness, and a calm presence to everything he touches. Chris oversees event planning, volunteer coordination, and the ministry's financial stewardship. He believes that showing up consistently — even on the hard days — is one of the most powerful forms of advocacy. Outside the ministry, Chris is a fire fighter and paramedic.
"Faith isn't passive. We show up, do the work, and trust God with the rest."
Lisa is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Army-Veteran.
"The science matters — but so does having someone in your corner who truly understands."
We are rooted in the belief that every life — no matter how rare — is known and loved by God.
No family should walk the rare road alone. We build belonging and connection wherever we go.
We show up with empathy, patience, and unconditional support for families in every season.
We speak up for rare children and their families — in hospitals, schools, and legislatures.
We keep running — even when the road is long, uncertain, or hard. Rare families do, and so do we.
We choose hope — for breakthroughs, for community, and for the future of every rare child.
