About The Event
Kleefstra Syndrome Awareness Day happens every year on September 17. The global Kleefstra Syndrome community comes together to raise awareness, share stories, and celebrate amazing children, young people, and adults living with KS.
Don't forget to wear purple!!
Most people with Kleefstra Syndrome have a deletion on chromosome 9, at 9q34.3. The 9th month is September, and the 17th letter of the alphabet is Q - a meaningful date for the community to unite and make our voices heard.
Run With Liam Rare Ministry invites families, friends, churches, schools, and community partners to help spread awareness. Wear purple, share a story, pray for rare families, and remind the Kleefstra community that they are seen, loved, and never running alone.
